1. Hands-on UNIX® Level 1
This is a powerful Hands-on introductory level course for new users who need to learn the features and functions of UNIX® on SUN SOLARIS[tm]
You will learn how to:
- understand UNIX® terminologies, multi-user processes and the operating system structure
- master UNIX® commands and operations explained in familiar DOS terms and execute them in real time
- grasp essential UNIX® commands, file structures and applications
- create, copy, rename and move files
- properly begin and end a UNIX® session using CLI (Command Line Interface) and CDE (Common Desktop Environment)
- differentiate between text editing and text processing
- move, modify, delete and undo text using "vi editor"
- create and examine directories and directory trees
- understand and execute common UNIX® commands
- set file and directory permissions
- locate, sort and manipulate text data

2. Hands-on UNIX® Level 2
If you want to maximize your UNIX® productivity, Hands-On UNIX® level II is the course for you. The course is designed by keeping in mind that the user should also achieve sufficient knowledge to pass the SUN SOLARIS[tm] examination.
3. SUN SOLARIS[tm] Certified System Administrator
This course provides training for anyone interested in becoming a Sun Certified System Administrator for Solaris 8. Training hours covers the exam objectives in enough detail for the inexperienced administrators to learn the objectives and apply the knowledge to real life scenarios.
4. Sun Certified System Administrator
You need to pass two exams - 310-011 (Part I) and 310-012 (Part II) in order to become a Sun Certified System Administrator. Part I is a pre-requisite for Part II. You will not receive a certificate until you have passed both the examinations. If you are already certified in Solaris 2.6 or 7, you must still pass exam 310-011 and 310-012 to be certified in Solaris 8.
